Camping In Tucson

We Were going through Tucson and had heard about a little piece of BLM land at the top of a hill, right out of town. It is located on Hwy 86 and South San Joaquin Road.  It was a great place to stop and we wound up staying for 10 days. We would go down the hill to library for free wifi and right across from there was the supermarket. Some days we would go into town or the Recreation center at bottom of hill.
The city recreation center was great. For 2.00 you could use the gym ,showers, basket ball courts, and even play pool.  On the way back up to the BLM there are several great county parks to hike and picnic .    The city of Tucson really puts a lot of priority into outdoor activities . If you have the time it is a great little place to camp while exploring Tucson . For more information on location go to Free campsites    Have a Great  trip.
